Sister of Nepalese man taken hostage in
And uh the sister of one of the hostages
kidnapped by Hamas on the 7th of October
has made her first public speech
pleading for her brother's release.
23-year-old Bipan Joshi, a Nepalese
agricultural student, is still being
held in Gaza. Earlier this month, his
younger sister, Pushba, spoke at a
demonstration in Tel Aviv's Hostages
Square. She said her brother was caught
in a war he had no side in. Well, we can
speak to her now. Uh, Pushba joins us.
Um, Pushba, first of all, I want to say
I'm sorry for how agonizing this weight
must be for you. Can you tell us when
was the last time you heard an update
about your brother?
>> Firstly, thank you so much. Uh, the last
sign of my brother was uh in the Alipa
Hospital 2023 on uh October 8. Uh and
our last talk was on
Friday uh on on 6th October.
>> And have you heard any more uh about
what could have happened and his
whereabouts? Is there anything that
you've been kept informed of at all or
are you just completely in the dark ever
since that day?
No, I haven't heard anything about uh
him after the captive. Uh I'm in dark
and I don't know anything about his I
don't know his health condition, his
condition. I don't know anything about
it.
>> And that uncertainty must be so
difficult to deal with. How are you and
your family coping?
>> Uh it's it's too much difficult for me
and my family. He is my only one brother
and he's the only one son of my family.
He is our whole life and it's it's too
much for me and my family. Uh these
all two years it's it's been two years
without him and uh we are living the
hell life as well as my brother is in
hell life. It's too much for me and my
family. He is innocent agriculture
student. Still he is suffering from a
lots.
>> And I know you made your um you made a
speech a demonstration there. What do
you hope will happen with trying to get
across the urgency of this? What do you
hope the authorities will do hearing the
speech from you and other family members
like you?
>> Uh I hope that every uh strong
governmental people can hear our voice
can feel our pain. how how what is
happening with us in this time and what
is happening with them hostages
in the hell and uh I hope the
authorities can can feel our pain and
can do do anything what they can and uh
change the way and bring them back as
soon as possible like one deal for
everyone and please uh please it's my
request to the every governmental people
please do whatever you can from your
side life is life is too much important
without without his without him I can't
even think about breath it's too much
for
me and our family and I hope that every
governmental people every powerful
governmental people can feel our pain
